Natural Sound Cuban President Fidel Castro paid respects Saturday to Vietnamese revolutionary Ho Chi Minh, laying a wreath at his mausoleum and touring his nearby home. The 69-year-old leader is on his second day of a Vietnam tour which is focusing on the ties between the two communist countries. In a solemn ceremony, Cuban President Fidel Castro laid a wreath at the tomb of the unknown soldier in remembrance of all those who died in the Vietnam War. Cuba was one of Vietnams closest allies during the war. His visit to the mausoleum of the famed communist leader Ho Chi Minh was a significant moment in his trip, emphasising the deep links between the two countries. After the wreath-laying he visited Ho Chi Minhs house and was shown memorabilia including photos of the communist hero. He was given a tour of the house and then signed the visitors book, paying tribute to Ho Chi Minhs fight for the people of Vietnam. After a tour of the gardens which included a seeing the fish ponds that Ho Chi Minh loved so much, the Cuban leader left.
